And Fancy Was Her Name

If you have come to my blog looking for a cooking blog, or the future Ree Drummond...exit now.

Although I have never claimed to be a world class chef I have been known to fib a little and say I can cook.  Truth be told I would have been underfed most of my adult life (which may not be so bad) if it hadn't been for friends who can cook very well.

Well now that I am here in Lincoln on my own I have to fen for myself.  I eat a lot of PB & J, or noodles with some ro-tel on top (try it, I don't kid so good).  But when I am ready for a fancy meal I find myself reaching for hamburger helper.

Gross I know, it grosses me out if I think about it to much too.  It is probably as unhealthy as possible, but I assure you there are four food groups in each meal. 1) Meat 2) Milk/Cheese 3) Carb/Noodle 4) Some sort of distorted veggie.

And I promise that you know no one who could mess up hamburger helper, until I tell you I have made two of these things in the past six months I have burnt to the point of no return.

With my hamburger (or the occasional chicken helper) I like to have a glass of wine.  I am sure there is a website with boxed meal wine pairings, but I just go to whatever bottle or box I have in my fridge.

For the record or in case you were worried I won't be skinny anytime soon as long as hamburger helper is in my diet.  Also I will never be a foodie.

anyway, your blog is so cute! I think I got here off of Kelly's Korner a week or so ago (maybe...)
