I have discovered I can write a post from my BlackBerry, yeah I know I am a quick learner. The best part is the fact that on a real computer I catch myself double tapping the space bar to insert a period. And my phone spell checks as I go along.

Best thing I learned all week. Or not.

I am actually at the airport now waiting to fly off to Wyoming (via Denver of course and I am actually getting a ride from Denver). I am rambling now.

I have carried on my luggage and I have yet to hyperventilate because of it. And as far as I know I didn't forget anything and everything fit. Success.

Oh and just because this post has no real substance I feel like I need to add the fact I live for airport people watching. It makes me feel better about myself. I dare you to judge me because of it.

If only I had something exciting to write about...

I have nothing, nothing at all to write about.  Which I guess is a good thing.

Tonight I have some catching up on my DVR to do.  I mean how could I live my life if I knew I skipped an episode of 16 and Pregnant.  I heard last weeks is a tear jerker, I mean if that is possible with 16 and Pregnant.

I do have a really big and exciting weekend ahead of me.  I have never been so excited to go to Wyoming in my life!  I feel like it has been forever since I have seen my friends.  I am looking forward to a calm weekend (any of you who knew me in college know "calm" is not a good way to describe my upcoming weekend).

Speaking of my trip this weekend I learned something about myself, I am an overly meticulous planner.  I wrote out my outfits for this weekend down to the scarfs and shoes.  Pathetic right, not when you consider this is the first time I don't plan on checking luggage when  fly.  I will let ya'll know how that works for me.  I smell disaster.

And if you can go ahead and ignore my post gym hair, and clothing I will show you a picture of my new glasses I picked up today (sidenote: I love eye insurance!)

It's 7:47 pm and it isn't dark.

I would just like to document the fact that I have a love hate relationship with daylight savings time.  It is great that it is nearly 8pm and it is still light enough to see outside.  This new found light is helping my mood for sure!

I was getting a little sad there a couple weeks ago, I wouldn't say that I am totally out of this funk yet but the end is near.

On the flip side I have been exhausted this week.  I am trudging though it though because now I really feel like I have "time" to do things after work.  This "time" is directly related to the longer amounts of light.

By this time next week I won't even remember I was frustrated with daylight savings time!

In some fun news the Easter Bunny visited a little early this year...(or my Parents).  Either way it was one good Easter Bunny...

Nebraska Cattlemen's Ball

This week over at Kelly's Korner it is all about your favorite charities.  I hold a place in my heart for the Nebraska Cattlemen's Ball.  I have been attending the Ball since I was probably 12, and I love what a group of Cattlemen and their families can do for Cancer research.

This year I have become involved with the decorating and table linens portion of the Ball, I got in a little late as it really is an all year planning timeline.  I wasn't in Nebraska last summer so I couldn't get involved at the ground level like I would hope to. 

Next year I have already volunteered myself to help and be involved from day one! I am so excited to be involved with this amazing event!

Anyone in the cattle industry knows that the market is always changing, and the profit isn't always very much.  This being said you would never know that these cattlemen and women aren't rolling in the dough.  

People give all they can give to this event, and it shows.  Everyone holds a sense of ownership, and pride in this event.  Over the past 10 years they have raised over 3 MILLION DOLLARS for Cancer research, all in two days a year!  This money stays here in Nebraska at UNMC Eppley Cancer Center, which makes it all the more worth is.

This event is literally done and over within 48 hours each year!  It amazes me what a wonderful bunch of cattlemen and women can accomplish to battle this awful disease!

I look forward to telling ya'll more about the benefit this year and in the next year while we plan for the next one! 

The cookies have left the building

... although not really.

Just the peanut butter patties (you know the girl scout cookies.) The most delicious of all girl scout cookies, even more so when they are frozen.

I have no will power when it comes to anything chocolate and peanut butter together, or red velvet cake in any form.  Those are my weaknesses.

Anyways I still have other kinds of girl scout cookies, but for some reason I could care less about them.  On the other hand when I savored my last peanut butter pattie (frozen of course) at lunch today I almost had a melt down.

The thought of waiting a whole year to devour another box of them seems like an eternity.

My hips and thighs are ever thankful that I put that box of cookies out of its misery and we can move on to healthier things...like fruit and veggies.  Ha!

Please if any of you still have peanut butter patties enjoy one, or ten for me!

... and for the record the one box I had did last me two and a half weeks.  I shocked myself that they hung on that long.

People I have a friend!

Fantastic news I have a friend, in the town I live! Praise the Lord!

We were at a wedding this weekend and my friend *N brought a girl with him, and even though he doesn't live in my town, she does! Praise the Lord!

We made plans to meet up Sunday in our town, but we both might have drank one to many drinks Saturday night, so we postponed until later in the week, fine by me!

I am just so thrilled to know someone my age in this town whom I don't work with (although no one I work with is my age).

So all of my little prayers are paying off!

In other news I made it through another quarterly sales meeting yesterday talk about stress a girl out! Whoa! I treated myself (even though my Mom bought) to ice cream last night.  It was my reward for survival!

By next quarter the new will have worn off and they won't be so nice anymore.

My regional vice president was there, and she told me she liked my necklace.  My life is complete, if nothing else she likes my style!

And that my friends is all I have.  I feel like I should be writing something with some sort of knowledge, but after using my brain all day all I want to when I blog is write.  If I could I wouldn't use punctuation or complete sentences, but I would feel a bit trashy if I did that.

Day in the life of a single, young professional

Today is all about your typical day over at Kelly's Korner Show us Your Life...

First and foremost, the term young professional is one I thought you had to be 25 to fall into.  I guess I was wrong, at 22 I fit the bill.  Scary.

5:45 - The alarm clock goes off, I hit snooze.

6:20 - I finally drag my booty out of bed and get in the shower.

6:20 - 7:30 - I get ready, you know the typical dry the hair, straighten it, put make up on, catch the headlines on the t.v, make my bed, clean up.

7:30 - Leave for work, and get there at about 8.

8:00 - Get into the office tell everyone hello, plug in my laptop and start it up.

8:15 - 8:45 - Check e-mails, finish up anything I left hanging on e-mails or such.

9:00 - 11:00 - Time to make dials, the gritty part of being in sales.

11:00 - 1:30 - Go out into the field, knock on doors, try to make a one time close sale (my favorite)

1:30 - 2:00 - Get back into the office, check the e-mail and catch up with our route guys and try to bribe them with candy or food into some sales leads (the most difficult part of my job)

2:00 - 4:00 - Make some more dials, do paper work, keep up on reports, basically any other task included in my job description.

Really anytime after 4 - Leave the office, and try and stop at a business or two and do some prospecting.

5:00 - 6:00 - Time to go to the gym

6:00 - 7:00 - Make some sort of food to sustain myself

7:00 - 9:00ish - I do all of those things you can't do during the work day, blog, facebook, go to Target, catch up on shows, clean.  Basically everything.

9:00 - I like to go lay in bed, and watch a show.  Normally this leads to me falling asleep at about 9:45. (I never said my life was exciting.)
