Well A LOT has happened since I blogged last, and you guessed it I plan on running through all the details. I suggest you grab a drink - or two.
Back in the middle of August I had decided I was over Lincoln and the place I was living (I will not call it home, because it wasn't). I began to weigh my options on moving to another apartment in Lincoln, moving home with my parents and saving money, or buying a place in Omaha. I choose the last option.
I don't honestly even remember dates, besides the fact that I picked out all my flooring and counter tops on my birthday (August 21st). Literally the six or eight weeks it took to finish off the house and close was a whirlwind in and of itself and then with a few other little things it was insane.
Somewhere in the middle of September I met a guy, and as his luck would have it I don't remember what day our first date was or any of that other stuff. He happened to catch me when my life was moving a hundred miles an hour. Lucky him.
About two weeks into seeing him, and about a week before closing I got a promotion which has required a little more work than I had been doing.
Basically somewhere in the end of September I closed on my house (once again, dates are not my thing) and moved in all in one day. I do remember it was a Thursday, only because I was annoyed at my realtor that it wasn't a Friday like I had asked for five hundred times. I can be a little hard to work for.
Ever since I moved in I have not had a single weekend or really any week nights where I have nothing to do. Fall always seems a little crazy with football season and all, but then you add in a whole additional layer of crazy with moving, and social events, and traveling.
I hate to admit that I have absolutely no pictures of my house completely finished. I have plenty of construction pictures, but those seem a day late and a dollar short at this point. I do plan on doing a "Christmas Tour" of my house soon though. After all I would hate not to share my three trees with the world.
Also, you can count on this - I will be a better blogger. Not that I will write anything of substance (I think I have said that before), but something is better than nothing even if it is only for my memory.
Ignore that memory line, since I can't even remember when I closed on my house and that was just two months ago.

Oh yes! A post from you! I was starting to think you had given up on the whole blogging experience. Glad to hear your life is going well! Congrats on the house, bf, promotion etc..! Can't wait to see pictures of your house all decorated.
ReplyDeleteI also threw a couple sentences of personal stuff in my latest post for you..on the off chance you still read it.
