Wyoming was that place.
This past weekend I got to take a trip down memory lane with a few of my favorite people!
Then we ventured to a little place that didn't even exist "back in the day." A fancy shmancy little sushi place right in the middle of a Cowboy town. It's odd, but if there is one thing I like about Laramie in general its that it is a little odd.
Following a bunch of fun and stuffing ourselves full we headed to The Library, now don't kid yourself we didn't go read books. The Library in Laramie is a bar (although we did have one with real books, I think?).
We met up with some more of my favorite people and reminisced about when we used to be cool, and promised ourselves we would never become lame.
A few more pit stops later (gangster dancing and so on) and we were at "The" Cowboy. This is where it all goes down in Laramie. And none other than Chancey Williams and the Younger Brother Band were playing. I spent a good portion of my freshman and sophomore years of college hanging out with these guys. I spent more nights than I can count on their couch on Grand Ave. It makes me so happy that I go to to see them.
These are "my people" and I am so grateful that I got the best four years of my life with them. Looking back it was really sad to leave it all behind, but that doesn't mean that we can't still have these really fun reunion weekends. I appreciate my time with them so much more now (not that I didn't then).
And knowing that we can still be fun...
Makes these trips something to really look forward too. I can't wait for our next big weekend together, whenever and wherever it may be.
Until then I will be getting a visit from my best friend really soon, and that couldn't make me happier!
