The great pillow debacle of 2010

About two weeks ago I made a trip to Kansas City with my cousin and her family. We spent the night at the Great Wolf Lodge, but that wasn't the real purpose of the trip (much to her kids' disappointment).

The real purpose, Nell Hill. Basically the best thing to come out of Kansas...besides Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz.

I got this beautiful pillow that I had been lusting over for about a month, I was so happy and didn't think to much about the chocolate brown and cream accent pillows I would need as well. I mean really you would think finding these pillows would be a breeze.

Not so much, I for the life of me couldn't find a cream pillow...not tan, not yellowy, cream!

Finally this weekend I found them. Now I am a little worried about how I am going to spend my free time since I don't have to hunt for pillows...?

I can't wait to show ya'll pictures of the pillows. I have about given up on fixing my Mac, and just buying a notebook laptop.

Soon. Ya'll. Soon.

Thunderstorms and More

I promise I have oogles and oogles of pictures to post as soon as I get my laptop fixed, in the meantime I will continue to take pictures and mentally write blog posts.

Living in tornado alley for the bulk of my life (minus my four year stint in Wyoming). I grew up with tornadoes, and hail, and straight line winds you would think 22 years later I would be used to all of this...wrong!

I hate thunder or lightning, I run for cover when the sirens start blaring. Unlike some of the other yahoos in my family (namely my Dad and Brother) who stand on the porch and watch...dummies. All the while I am in the basement with a blanket over my head kissing my life goodbye.

I am a sissy.

Now to add to my hate of thunderstorms. No more believing my Mom when she tells me "oh that's far away from here, don't worry" (why I trusted the lady who can't read a map to save her life is beyond me).

I am all alone here. No one to hole my hand or tell me "its far away."

I bring this all up because tonight is supposed to be the first big storm. Needless to say I won't sleep a wink tonight, and you better believe I will have the TV on all night...just in case.

If ya'll are lucky I might take some pictures...from inside. I won't be the yahoo on the deck. Not even for the sake of my blog.

Spring in the midwest

Ladies and maybe Gentlemen, spring has sprung here in the midwest! After four "spings" in Wyoming I forgot what spring looked like. I had almost accepted snow in May, and no grass until July, but I am wiser than that! How I love green grass and tulips.

I would love to show all of you Wyoming dwellers these beautiful spring things, but I still am laptop less (except for my work one...)

This past weekend I spent with my Dad and sale barn operators of Nebraska at a Livestock Marketing Association spring meeting, it was so nice to hear about the livestock industry from professionals who know more than politicians (not that that's to difficult).

It really made me hope I can go to the big meeting in OKC this year, or maybe I just want to go to OKC for my favorite restaurant. Yeah that's probably more like it.

I love getting my fill of the livestock industry!

And...just because I have no one to tell...I was the 10th commenter on The Pioneer Woman's last post. Pretty much completes my life I wasn't even first and I am happy, clearly I have high hopes for myself.

Technology is not my thing

In the past four days I have had one to many run ins with technology. I am 99 percent sure my hard drive on my Mac laptop has bit th dust (making this the second time in two years). Not good.

And no I didn't have anything backed up. I will now.

Now this morning I logged into my work laptop and my documents were GONE. Every last one of them. I called my sales manager in complete panic, he didn't answer. I called in IT in Burbank thinking there was no way anyone would be there. There was, thank God. He fixed it.

I will be backing up that computer too.

And as we speak I am on the phone with IT as they try and solve all my issues with this new sales tool.

I am pushing two hours on the phone with IT today.

Clearly I never took a computer class in college. I feel like a dumb blonde every time I talk to them.

I bet this is really an exciting post for ya'll.

In really exciting news, I am going to Nell Hill this weekend. I can't even imagine what kind of good stuff I will find there.

convenience obviously doesn't mean squat

Well well well, I thought when I discovered blogger on my phone I would blog more. I was wrong. It has been over a week. Not that much has happened in this week.

On Tuesday night I went to my parents house for the night. My Mom's entire extended family was in town from Vegas and so she planned a gathering for everyone, local or not.

It was awesome. I am a huge believer in family, and I love seeing everyone. We had so much fun just talking and the kids playing it was great!

The rest of the week I spent stressing about this weekend and next week. I was awfully concerned about getting my laundry done before this weekend because I am leaving for an overnight work trip Monday.

But in true Megan fashion just because I was worried about getting everything done I cleaned the house and avoided laundry. Which leads me to today.

Sitting here doing laundry. Lovely. I would hire someone to do my laundry. I would pay big bucks (if I had them).

I promise to blog from my computer soon and share about my trip to Wyoming. If you can believe this I have a post about Sushi in Wyoming in the works. It completes me. Oh and I found true love while I was away too...in a pair of boots. That's a post I am working on as well.

As my Grandma would say "shit or get off the pot". I promise to do this soon and show ya'll my loves. Boots and Sushi.

To all of my loyal readers...

...All 5 of you.

I have discovered I can write a post from my BlackBerry, yeah I know I am a quick learner. The best part is the fact that on a real computer I catch myself double tapping the space bar to insert a period. And my phone spell checks as I go along.

Best thing I learned all week. Or not.

I am actually at the airport now waiting to fly off to Wyoming (via Denver of course and I am actually getting a ride from Denver). I am rambling now.

I have carried on my luggage and I have yet to hyperventilate because of it. And as far as I know I didn't forget anything and everything fit. Success.

Oh and just because this post has no real substance I feel like I need to add the fact I live for airport people watching. It makes me feel better about myself. I dare you to judge me because of it.

If only I had something exciting to write about...

I have nothing, nothing at all to write about.  Which I guess is a good thing.

Tonight I have some catching up on my DVR to do.  I mean how could I live my life if I knew I skipped an episode of 16 and Pregnant.  I heard last weeks is a tear jerker, I mean if that is possible with 16 and Pregnant.

I do have a really big and exciting weekend ahead of me.  I have never been so excited to go to Wyoming in my life!  I feel like it has been forever since I have seen my friends.  I am looking forward to a calm weekend (any of you who knew me in college know "calm" is not a good way to describe my upcoming weekend).

Speaking of my trip this weekend I learned something about myself, I am an overly meticulous planner.  I wrote out my outfits for this weekend down to the scarfs and shoes.  Pathetic right, not when you consider this is the first time I don't plan on checking luggage when  fly.  I will let ya'll know how that works for me.  I smell disaster.

And if you can go ahead and ignore my post gym hair, and clothing I will show you a picture of my new glasses I picked up today (sidenote: I love eye insurance!)
